Playing with Legos玩乐高
◆ 插、拔、拼、拆，英文怎么说？
◆ 某个形状、颜色、大小的乐高块，如何形容？
◆ “玩乐高”除了play with Legos，还可以怎么说？
Child: Mommy, can we build my new Lego set?
宝宝：妈妈，咱们能搭我的新乐高套装吗？
不说build Lego，可以说build with Legos，或者build something out of Legos。
Mom: Yes, that sounds like a great idea.
妈妈：行啊，好主意。
Lets open the box and pour out whats inside.
咱们打开盒子，把里面的东西倒出来。
Lego这个词可以泛指其他品牌的与乐高类似的玩具，注意L要大写。
Look, there are 3 bags full of Lego pieces.
看，里面有满满3袋乐高块。
乐高块还可以叫Legos、Lego bricks和Lego blocks，前两个更常用。
And an instruction manual to show us how to put the police set together step by step.
还有说明书一步一步教咱们怎么拼警察套装。
说明书还可以叫instruction booklet，但不叫instruction book。
Child: Which one do we open first?
宝宝：咱们先打开哪个呢？
Mom: Lets look for the one with the number 1 on it.
妈妈：咱们找找哪个上面写着数字1。
Child: This one has 1 on it!
宝宝：这个上面写1了！
Mom: Good job!
妈妈：真棒！
Okay, so lets open up the manual and find the first step.
好，咱们把说明书打开，找到第1步。
It says for the gate we have to find these pieces.
上面说要拼大门，我们需要找到这些块块。
Child: What are they?
宝宝：都有什么？
Mom: Two grey bases, two short bluesquares, two short white squares, two tall white squares, two thin yellow pieces, two irregular yellow pieces, one long yellowpiece, two extra-long yellow pieces, and a white semi-circle.
妈妈：两个灰色的底座、两个蓝色的矮方块、两个白色的矮方块、两个白色的高方块、两个黄色的薄片、两个黄色的不规则形状、一个黄色的长条、两个黄色的超长条，和一个白色的半圆。

Do you know how to put these pieces together?

Child: This one goes on top of this one?

Mom: Yes, thats right, awesome.

Take your time and push them together.
慢慢来，把它们按在一起。
Those little studs fit into the holes under this one.
这些点点插在这个下面的孔里。
Now what does the next step say?
下一步怎么说的？
Child: I need 2 white ones and 2 little blue ones.
宝宝：我需要两个白的和两个小蓝的。
I put them here?
我放这儿吗？
They won go together!
它俩拼不到一起。
亦可用They don match / fit。
Mom: Yes, that is right, but lets try turning it around and putting it here.
妈妈：嗯，没错，但是咱们试试把它转过来，放在这里。
Now push.
现在往里按。
往里按可以翻译成push it in ，但是，中文说“往里插”，英文不说stick it in。
Does that work better?
这回行了吧？
Child: Yes, that worked!
宝宝：嗯，行了！
Mom: Finally, put the roof on top of the two columns.
妈妈：最后，把顶儿放在两个柱子上。
Child: Like this?
宝宝：这样吗？
Mom: Yes, just like that.
妈妈：嗯，就像这样。
You are getting very good at building with Legos.
你搭乐高越来越棒了。
The best part of Legos is that we can take it apart and rebuild it as many times as we like!
乐高最好的地方就是，我们可以把它拆掉，然后重新搭多少次都行！
具体的拔的动作用pull apart，如：Its hard to pull apart the Lego. 这块乐高很难拔。
We can also make these pieces into other things like cars or houses.
我们还可以用这些块块拼其他东西，比如汽车和房子。
Child: I love Legos!
宝宝：我喜欢乐高！
