Marketing Executive
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title
Marketing Executive -
EU Co-Financed Projects(3 year contract)
Reporting to
Programme Director
Job Purpose
Manage the Chinese implementation of the Information & Promotion Campaign for European Pork & Poultry in China and Mexico.
Key Organisational
Relationships
Bord Bia Shanghai Office, Bord Bia Head office - Meat, Marketing, Finance and PR Departments.
Key External
Relationships
Implementing Body, Department of Agriculture Food & Marine, Embassy of Ireland in Beijing and Mexico City, Consulate in Shanghai,pork and poultry meat importers in both markets, Irish pork and poultry meat exporters.
Key Accountabilities
Design and implement effective social media campaigns B2B, B2C increasing awareness and knowledge as part of the program in conjunction with implementing body;
Develop new and existing relationships with key distributors and buyers in order to build effective and accurate >
Implement key actions in a timely manner, in line with budget allocations and according to EU guidelines;
Provide relevant and timely reports on each action and prepared in line with EU requirements and ensure all financial reports reflect the detail of the program supported by back up documentation.
Main Duties
Present marketing concepts and imagery design for each action;
Creative input into development of marketing materials including briefing packs, website content, imagery;
Develop a clear understanding of the regulatory environment pertaining to imported food;
Liaise with selected evaluation agency for the project to establish effectiveness of actions undertaken;
Liaise with the implementing body to design implement flows and KPI’s for each action;
Ensure each action is undertaken on time, within budget and in accordance with EU guidelines andliaise with selected evaluation agency for the project to establish effectiveness of actions undertaken;
Keep abreast of market trends in specific sectors and channels, as well as economic, social and political trends in order to localize and maximize the outcomes from each action;
Manage the recruitment process (Chinese buyers, journalists and officials) to participate in the program in conjunction with the implementing body;
Prepare required financial, quarterly/annual reports required under the program with the implementing agency.
Additional Duties
Assist in the Shanghai office to promote the operation of the program at both client and customer level.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
Degree level qualification in relevant discipline, e.g. Business Marketing;
Specialisation in international marketing an advantage particularly experience in Asia;
Fluency in Chinese is advantageous. Minimum level of H.S.K 4.
Experience
5+ years" experience operating in a marketing role, preferably in Asia;
Experience researching markets, analysing and interpreting information;
Exposure to social media and online marketing in China;
Successful introduction of high profile marketing programmes or events;
Knowledge of the EU / Irish Food sector particularly pork & poultry meat;
Proven record of working independently in the marketplace;
Proven experience of building credible professional relationships with senior executives, diplomats and politicians both in Ireland and the marketplace;
Proven experience operating professionally in different cultures;
Budget management & financial reporting experience.

Insight & Planning Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title
Insight & Planning Specialist, Asia
Reporting to
Head of Strategic Insight & Planning
Job Purpose
As part of the Strategic Insights & Planning(S,I&P) Division be responsible for implementing and proactively managing insight programmes for the Asia region, while acting as an insight expert to drive value for Bord Bia’s clients and build relationships with key customers.Deliver actionable insight that has the power to drive brand growth and foster innovation.
Location
Initial on boarding in Dublin (six months), thereafter Shanghai, China
Key Organisational
Relationships
SI&P team, China, Korea, Japan & Singapore Office teams, Sector and Global Business Development teams,Origin Green team,Directors.
Key External
Relationships
Consumer and market research agencies, trends and foresight agencies, innovation specialists, client companies, customers and state agencies.
Key Accountabilities
Distil and embed trends, market and consumer knowledge into simple, clear actionable implications for client companies and key customers;
Nurture and build relationships with SI&P team and the overseas office teams to create a consistent approach to the dissemination of consumer and market insights across the organisation;
Partner with companies on consumer and market insight, to disseminate findings and embed learnings within client companies.
Main Duties
Deliver insight programme elements to individual client companies and key customers, embed the learnings and help the client absorb and act on the findings from trends and insight projects;
Assist with publicising and sharing Bord Bia’s insight, trends, branding and innovation programmes amongst the client base to further extend take up and usage;
Develop and maintain accurate market insight presentations for the Asia offices;
Assist clients in the usage of branding and innovation tools developed by Bord Bia;
Identify and leverage market data sources to facilitate and support strategic market development activities for Bord Bia and its client companies;
Constantly review the appropriateness of secondary sources in accurately delivering insights;
Represent Bord Bia at assigned fora and make presentations on behalf of the SI&P Division and Asia offices;
Develop and successful delivery of consumer and market insight and trends projects on time and within budget.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications
Degree level qualification in relevant discipline
e.g. Marketing.
Experience
3+ years’ experience in market research and consumer insight;
Understanding and knowledge of the Irish consumer food, drinks and horticulture sector;
Adept at all types of consumer research and consumer panel data;
Experience in facilitating ideation and creative workshops;
Proven experience in developing relationships with colleagues, senior executives, suppliers, senior marketing teams.
Required Skills
Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence client companies and colleagues;
Ability to professionally represent and negotiate on behalf of Bord Bia;
Strong project planning and management skills with the ability to coordinate resources and deliver results proactively with limited supervision;
Supplier management skills.
